Since 2014 SDA students have been observing an annual celebration during the Navaratri/Dasara festival season (Sep-Oct), celebrating both the religious and cultural aspect of this festival, and the artistic facet as well. While it is difficult to always observe the traditional "celebration of the arts" on  "vijayadashami" Guru Sujatha Manjigani has made it tradition, to celebrate this festival on the Sunday that falls during the Navatri, when all the students of SDA join and dance together. 

This tradition has taken on an aspect of reflection for all the students on how much they have grown each year, while sharing the same joy with their near and dear family & friends. Although informal, the students and the families alike look forward to this festival and celebrations. 

New students are initiated into the dance curriculum during this festival season as well.
